Egyptian police arrest three individuals after viral social media videos

The Interior Ministry has detained a microbus driver, a motorcycle rider, and a man in separate incidents following investigations into videos posted online.

• A microbus driver was arrested in Cairo after a video showed him insulting and making obscene gestures; he admitted the incident occurred over a month ago after a rear-end collision.
• A motorcycle rider was arrested in Cairo’s Salam area for performing stunts and driving against traffic, endangering lives; he admitted the act and the motorcycle was seized.
• A man was arrested in Suez for threatening his wife and her brother with a knife during a family dispute on July 11; he admitted the act and the knife was recovered.
