Relocation of rare Przewalski's horses from UK to Kazakhstan aims to revive species

Two female Przewalski's horses have been transported 3,000 miles from a UK zoo to Kazakhstan to continue a species revival effort led by European zoos.

• Shara and Togs, two female Przewalski's horses, were born and raised at Marwell Zoo near Winchester, England.
• The horses were flown to Kazakhstan and released into the wild as part of an ongoing reintroduction program.
• Marwell Zoo animal operations manager Ian Goodwin said the species was among the zoo's first when it opened in 1972.
