Chatsworth House pilots free entry scheme through library membership

Chatsworth House Trust has launched a pilot allowing library members to borrow free passes for entry to the Derbyshire estate.

• Chatsworth House Trust and Derbyshire Libraries launched a scheme where library members can borrow a free seven-day community membership card for up to eight people.
• The passes have been borrowed 110 times from 10 participating libraries since the pilot began last month.
• Jane Marriott, director of Chatsworth House Trust, said the charity wanted to “share Chatsworth with as many people as possible” through the partnership.
• Councillor Alan Graves, leader of Derbyshire County Council, said the authority was “extremely proud” to partner on the pilot, which he said would help residents who might not otherwise have the opportunity to visit.
