Al-Azhar Opens Applications for International Teacher Preparation Program for Non-Arabic Speakers

Al-Azhar’s Center for Developing Education for Incoming and Foreign Students began accepting applications on Wednesday for its program preparing teachers of non-Arabic speakers.

• The program is open to graduates of Egyptian universities and will accept applications until July 30, 2026.
• The Center stated the program targets teachers of Arabic, religious sciences, and cultural subjects, as well as those wishing to teach Arabic to foreign students.
• The program runs from October 2026 to June 2027, with classes on Fridays and Saturdays and 12 courses combining theoretical and practical components.
• The Center said graduates will receive a certificate from Al-Azhar University and the Al-Azhar Sheikhdom upon successful completion.
