Multiple stabbings and court proceedings across the UK have been reported, including a school stabbing trial, a manslaughter plea, a fatal stabbing, and a mother's criticism of early release rules.

• A 16-year-old boy has denied the attempted murder of teacher Vicki Williams, stating he brought a knife to school as part of a game with friends, at Swansea Crown Court.
• Dawood Safi pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of dog walker Wayne Broadhurst on grounds of diminished responsibility due to a psychotic state, which the prosecution accepted.
• Khadeem Parris, 16, died after being stabbed in Northampton on 7 July, and a 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
• Janice Lees said she was notified that her son's killers, jailed for manslaughter, could be released early under the Sentencing Act, which she called "a bloody insult."
