Fire Destroys Offices at Local Unit in Qalyubia's Arab al-Alayqat

A fire has engulfed administrative offices at the local unit in the village of Arab al-Alayqat, north of Cairo, without causing casualties.

• The fire broke out inside the local unit building, affecting the engineering department and the employee affairs and revenue collection sections.
• Four fire trucks responded, and crews contained the blaze, preventing its spread to adjacent offices and structures.
• Qalyubia Security Directorate received an alert from emergency police and dispatched security and civil protection forces to the scene.
• General Hisham Shahata, head of Qalyubia Civil Protection, said an initial inspection identified the affected offices; the criminal investigation department has been ordered to determine the cause.
