Cairo court adjourns trial of businessman Sabri Nakhnoq and 10 co-defendants in car showroom assault case

The Cairo Criminal Court held the first session Tuesday in the trial of Sabri Nakhnoq and 10 others on charges of intimidation, theft, and assault linked to a car showroom incident in the Fifth Settlement.

• The court adjourned proceedings until October 11 and ordered the continued detention of all defendants.
• All 11 defendants, including Nakhnoq, denied the charges during the session.
• Nakhnoq denied any connection to the seized weapons, stating only a licensed pistol found in his office desk belonged to a company employee.
• The owner of the car showroom, Mohamed al-Imam, filed a formal withdrawal and testified that defendants Ahmed al-Haddad and Moataz al-Agami were not present during the alleged assault.
