Interior Ministry Arrests Man for Running Social Media Drug Sales Page

Egypt's Interior Ministry has arrested an unemployed man accused of using a social media page to advertise and sell narcotic drugs.

Police arrested the suspect in the Bulaq al-Dakrur district of Giza on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
The suspect managed a social media page to promote the sale of narcotic substances for payment, according to the ministry.
Officers seized a quantity of narcotic pills at the suspect's direction and took legal measures against him.
The suspect confessed to managing the page and possessing the pills with intent to traffic, the ministry stated.
