Micheal Ward acquitted of rape charges after trial

British actor Micheal Ward has been found not guilty of raping a woman in a car in January 2023.

• A jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court acquitted Ward of two counts of rape and three of sexual assault on 10 July 2026.
• Ward met the woman at an east London nightclub on 2 January 2023, and was arrested on 18 January 2023.
• Ward told the jury the encounter was "wholly consensual" and that the woman "never mentioned anything about wanting to leave."
• The woman testified that Ward raped her, saying she "did not use the word no" during the alleged attack.
