Witness Challenges Viral Video of Woman Dragged in Sharqia, Says It Was Edited

A witness has told Masrawy that a viral video showing a woman being assaulted in Sharqia was deliberately edited to conceal the wife's alleged attack on her mother-in-law.

• Ahmed al-Sebaei, a neighbor, stated that the video was cut out of context and portrayed the wife as a victim while hiding her assault on the husband's elderly mother.
• Al-Sebaei said the wife, identified as Islam F., arrived at the marital home with a lawyer and a friend to take her children, but the 80-year-old mother-in-law refused to let them leave in the father's absence.
• The witness stated that the wife then assaulted the mother-in-law, causing fractures and bruises, and that the young man seen in the video is the grandson who intervened after hearing his grandmother's screams.
• Security authorities in Sharqia are investigating the incident after mutual complaints were filed by the parties involved.
