Egyptian court hears retrial of six defendants in "Al-Agoza cell" case

The Cairo Criminal Court held a retrial session on Tuesday for six men accused of joining a terrorist group in the 2022 case known as the "Al-Agoza cell."

• The session was presided over by Judge Hamada al-Sawy, with Judges Mohamed Ammar, Raafat Zaki, and Dr. Ali Ammar, and with Mohamed Ammar as secretary.
• The State Security Prosecution had previously referred the defendants and others to an expedited trial on charges of forming and leading a terrorist group.
• The charges are based on the articles of accusation outlined in the referral decision.
